I hate this. People aren’t going to type in ‘sponsored CAPTCHA’s’ to get to their content. People aren’t stupid. They know when things are going too far. Seven seconds to read? It takes less than one to swipe your fingers to another page. They’ll just go somewhere else.

Plus there is already a company out there that gets it’s CAPTCHA images from books, thereby getting the entire internet to digitise the worlds books. Which is definitely a superior idea.
